He says, she says

Plain and simple, I am feeling like a fatty! I have been running for a good month now, just about every one to two days and have been pretty happy with the results. But that was up until two days ago...All of a sudden I'm noticing that my thighs and butt are getting BIGGER! Ummmm, this is not what a woman wants to see after a month of running! So my hubby has an argument on the matter, which is that I am building muscle on top of the fat that I always carried in those areas, but that I just haven't been at it long enough to start seeing that new muscle burning the fat away...This makes sense I will admit. I guess I just have a huge fear of becoming bulky down there and that is not something I wanted to see happen. I want the muscle, don't get me wrong, but I want lean muscle. Any thoughts or personal experiences of your own would be sooooo helpful! I'm feeling kinda insecure here:( I guess I just want to hear that it'll get better; That the ugly duckling phase is just part of it? (PS: This is the hubby typing: She is NOT GETTING FAT!! she is looking better and better, nice tight legs, butts getting all perky, shes just building more muscle then shes had before and looking damn fine I might add...Ok I'm done now;)

  1. Advice: Just hush and listen to your man!!!! =) ha haha... No really since I'm not a runner I'll let the others handle that portion. I say justs give it a few days, we all have good days and then bad days- sometimes we feel like a super-model other days we feel like big tubs-o-goo! So maybe it is just a bad day! =) But always be confident in yourself! Even if right now running may not be giving you a specific result you were looking for- I bet you feel better overall right? On a day-to-day basis.. just more energetic, happier, ect..? So my point? Don't get discouraged! Keep it up, good things come to those who wait my dear! =)

  4. haha!!!! I love that your husband typed! I have no idea why but it made me laugh and smile.

I'm the wrong person to ask because no matter what I eat or do it makes my legs get bigger and bigger. The only time I ever lost weight off of them was when I got a case of bronchitis and barely ate for a month lol.

  5. How adorable is your husband!!!! I've found that the running I've been doing has been making me feel more muscular and even though my legs and butt may be getting bigger inch wise, I've noticed that my hips have slimmed down and my pants fit better. I just go by that!

I'm sure you look fantastic!!! Your hubby wouldn't lie!

  6. If he is happy, nothing else matters :) Seriously though, my butt has gotten bigger with all of the running. I had a pancake for a hiney before this, and now I have a little perky booty back there. Strange stuff, but he is right--it's muscle!!

  7. Seriously listen to your man he's right! Plus he thinks your HOT so who cares.... Muscle is sexy honey, keep it up, you want a toned body and that's exactly what you'll get with running, not a flabby, wobbly body like I have ;)

  9. Your hubbie is too stinking adorable, how sweet of him! And I agree with the other gals, if he thinks your hott then that's all that matters.

  10. Haha, I adore your husbands use of the word "perky." My advice, A) make sure you are eating healthy. That is very important. and B) try doing some pilates along with your running. Try to strecth those muscles out and it should help. Keep it up though, I am sure that is normal! :)
