HELLO!

HELLO HELLO! So today's my day off and BOY am I glad about that! Right now I am sporting a pretty good cold with an annoying cough so I could use a day to myself. It feels like its been forever since my last post and I hate that:( But thank you all for your support and understanding *sends hearts*.

Really, there's nothing exciting to report. Bella had a vet appointment on Tuesday for some awful skin condition that she has broken out with. Turns out she has some type of mange...EKK! I asked Robert where in the world she picked that up at seeing as we wash her about once every two weeks and shes not in filth at all...I feel like such a bad mommy because is that something you could prevent? Well, she is on meds for the sores, and they medicated her skin then told us to give her Benadryl twice a day for the itching so hopefully this stuff kicks the bucket soon!

Robert finished up his first rotation last Thursday so he had a four day weekend and then is on leave until this Monday. I'm really glad he was able to get this time off because he was t.i.r.e.d! For the past five days hes basically been living at the auto skills center on post with his stang:p Something happened to it some weeks back so he decided it would be a good idea to rip it apart and find the problem. I am proud of him because its not like he's this big time mechanic that knows all. He's read book after book on the car and it seems to be paying off because he found the problem, then another one...This one kind of hurts the wallet because its a cracked head. Those babies cost a whopping 1,500! Act now, cringe later kind of deal though because if we leave it, that could mean even bigger problems down the road; costlier problems:p I'm going over there today to check out his progress and take a few pictures:)

As for me, its been crazy busy at work, which is better then no work! Kids go back to school today so it should slow down some before the holiday season gets here...A few of my sisters and I are planning a Florida vacation at the end of Oct. THIS I am so excited about! We are going to stay on the beach for 4 nights then commute the 45 minutes to Disney World while we're there! Best of both worlds if you ask me:) Robert hopefully gets to come, but its right in the middle of a rotation so its not set in stone. I've been keeping up with my running except for the past three days. Because of this cold, it has made me really weak and just miserable:( I think its so awesome that two of my older sisters and one younger brother has gotten into running because of me...One of them smokes and she swore up and down that he would never be a runner, so I like to laugh at her now:) Their doing awesome with it! I only wish we all lived closer so I could run with them...Boo...I had to buy another pair of glass which I got in a few days ago. I hated doing that, but Robert wanted me to have the exact ones that Bella chewed up. "You looked good in those babe." He told me, so I folded:p

Well I have not been on any of your blogs in a few days so I'm going to do that now before Robert wakes up. I hope you're all enjoying your week and that its not quite as long until my next post:p

Caio!

The Stang!

Well here she is ladies! As promised, a picture of the hubby's beautiful car...The pictures really do not do her justice! This was taken as we were leaving to go get her registered and insured today.
The other side and also a better shot of the entire car.

The handsome hubby with his "Oh yeah" smile on:)

Robert, the all american soldier standing proud beside his all american car:) But please note that this is his OTHER baby:p I'm his first, ha!
Today, I reigned myself in and took the extra day to rest my legs. It was tough because the weather was gorgeous outside and all I wanted to do was go run! I didn't even care if I made it the two miles, I just wanted to be outside doing it! However, tomorrow I should be golden and ready for a good run...So, today on my day off I:
  • Slept in until 9:15
  • Immedately logged onto blogger to catch up on ya'll's lives:)
  • Thought about eating breakfast before 11:00...didn't quite make it...
  • Played with the cat then booted his butt outside.
  • Was suprised when the hubby walked through the door at 10:45
  • Threw some clothes and shoes on with a spritz of purfume, ready to go with the hubby to register the car!
  • Ate a tuna cheese melt at Jason's Deli for breakfast/lunch.
  • Came home and took a 30 minute snoozer after the hubby headed back to work.
  • Cleaned the apartment for two hours while throwing a few loads of laundry in the mix
  • Took a shower and shaved then just waited for the hubby to get home:)

Now I'm sitting here multi tasking; blogging while watching "Son in-law" Lol, not sure if that classify's as multi tasking but hey! How was all of your mondays!

Its legal

Well first order of business is to wish all you wonderful momma's out there a VERY happy mothers day! I know its creeping up on 9:30 p.m but I'm still legal in my wishes:p Second order of business is to thank all of you for the advise and (confirmation) of thought you left on my last post!! Robert read them as you wrote them and I think it definitely helped. He said last night that he feels he's on the right track now, its just the jobs so new and trying to find that even balance can be rough. So thank you for taking the time to give us some outsider feedback, we really appreciated it!

In another part of my world, I am beat! I had my longest run yet on friday which ended up being a grand total of 2.5 miles! I ran the first two miles on the tred (yeah thats getting old) and then took my last half a mile outdoors! This I was excited about even though I was moving pretty slow by his point. The hubs bought me a distance watch friday night because I've been mentioning that I'm REALLY getting tired of running on the tredmill and would like to move outdoors soon. I'm excited to start conditioning myself to heat, moving air, bugs and pavement:p Sounds good, huh! I know that last half a mile, up and over hills, did me in however...I've been having some really bad muscle cramps ever since saturday. My lower calves are wound up extremely tight...The hubby ran a super hot bath tonight for me with the hope that it would loosen my muscles up a bit. It seemed to work and definitely felt good! I just need to do better at drinking more water while spending more time streaching before and after my runs. Hopefully this will fix some of my problems? I'm crossing my fingers that theres a run in my future tomorrow but will be very frusterated if I can't make my legs cooperate for it. We'll see...

I also can't believe that its been over 24 hours and I haven't blogged that Robert's mustang arrived yesterday morning!!! It is G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S!!!! I plan to take some pictures tomorrow, if the weather permits, and post them for you all. Sadly, I wasn't home when he got the car so I wasn't able to capture his (little boy at christmas) facial expressions while they rolled the trailer door up and unloaded the car:( But that smile isn't going anywhere for sometime so I'll have time to get those in:p We took a small drive after I got home and you wouldn't believe all the neck snapping looks we were getting...Mostly from men around Roberts age...Theres something about watching a room full of guys around a beautiful car...They all turn into little boys with that" Ooo Ooo pick me, pick me" look of dessperation look in their eyes:p Very adorable and I cannot help but smile:)

Well ladys, turn me over cause I am DONE! That bath turned me into jello, my legs feel like grenades fixin to explode and the rest of me resembles a very large and heavy piece of meat so its time I hit the hay...I plan to spend tomorrow catching up on all your lovely blogs as I have yet another two day:p Yay me! lol...Goodnight chica's!

On the road again...

Just letting you all know that, at the last minute, hubby and I decided to take a road trip to Tennessee! We're headed out in the morning at 5:00 a.m so most likely by the time ya'll read this we'll already be on the road. We have several reasons for going: one, to visit my family seeing as this might be the last time they'll get to see Robert for a very long time ( he's going to be a very busy boy starting the 3rd of May). Secondly, its my dads 72nd birthday on monday so thought it would be cool to spend it with him. Also, depending on what happens with Roberts mustang ( auction ends tomorrow at 6:00 p.m) we'd be close enough to drive and pick it up instead of having it shipped. Please cross your fingers for us, we're still in the lead! Robert is trying so hard not to get overly excited; we all know how Ebay works, you can loose your item at the very last second! Pray that doesn't happen girls:) We're only staying Sunday and then driving back Monday, so again, a very short trip, but it'll be good to see the fam! Once again, I'm going to have catch up reading to do when I get back! My hubby told me today that I'm addicted to ya'll and blogging...I have to say thats true:p Running update is that I ran 2 miles again yesterday! I'm happy that I'm not loosing ground but not so happy that there was a four day gap in between my last run and yesterdays run:( Work, Roberts graduation and other stuff had just gotten in the way...Once I get back from Tennesse its back to every other day and thats final! Have a wonderful Sunday everyone!

Say what! And I missed it!

Ummm, so apparently there was a tornado that tore up down town Columbus last night (about 4 miles from my house) and I didn't know a thing about it...WHA! I mean if I even get a whif of one lurking near by I go into complete freak mode and stare at the T.V all night feeling like my heart is going to burst from fear, waiting for the sirens or the news that it has past, or something!....So what was I doing last night? Ohhhhh, I was sitting in our living room staring, instead, at blogger happy as a bug in a rug:p I looked up at one point and saw some lightning but continued on with my reading, then the lights started to flicker, but it wasn't that sever out so I ignored it, then the sirens went off, but I ignored that too because they go off every Saturday night just to do checks; I thought that was what they were up to. So I didn't even pay attention to the guy who came across the loud speaker, obviously NOT, saying "This is a test. I repeat, this is a test." I only found out about it when I woke up this morning to a text my hubby sent asking me if I was okay, then telling me that there were tornados that touched down last night....Gosh, I must be slipping:p No one was hurt but a bunch of down town is all jacked up to where streets have totally been shut down...Have I mentioned how much I hate tornados! It was probably a good thing I didn't know; Being all alone, I probably would have hyperventilated to death!

On a happier note! I just got the best wife award of the year, or at least from my hubby anyhow...He has always had a dream of owning a 1967 mustang shelby fastback and found the perfect one on Ebay last night...If you're not sure what kind of a car that is, its Elenore off of Gone In Sixty Seconds, however he had been dreaming about that car even before Elenore, lol...We've been talking about this for a good three months now and have decided that if he really wants to do this, then we need to do it when we're young and before the kids arrive...This car costs a lot in case you didn't know! So the one he found last night is actually a steal at 33,000 and so he bid on it! He is, as of right now, the top dog and leading the pack; I really hope it stays that way! I told him if we get it that, thats one hell of a graduation gift:p I'll keep ya'll posted on whether or not we get it! I think the auction ends on Saturday so I should have good or bad news to blog about then:p Good night ladies, this tired girl is off to la la land:)
